LEATHER
MADE IN EDEN only selects the most natural and premium leather to work for our idea.
ITALIAN LEATHER
is a time-tested method to produce the highest quality leather. Unlike most of the other fast, chemical tanning methods that damage natural environment, vegetable tanned method is very slow, expensive but totally sustainable and environmental-friendly.
Vegetable tanning takes 3 months to convert a raw hide into leather of desired quality that is durable, smells great and with beautiful colour ageing. So vegetable tanned leather would cost around three times more than chrome or mineral tanned leather, especially from Italy.
Our product line featuring Italian leather association CONSORZIO VERA PELLEO comes with a individual serial number certificate card inside each packaging box. Only the top 22 tanneries are qualified join the Tuscan association and this trademark certificate guarantees that the premium leather is proudly produced under the eco-friendly principles:
1. All substances would easily be recovered, recycled and reused. (Even the hair on hides would be used on producing brushes)
2. No animal is killed for its skin, as all raw hides are by-product discarded by food industry in Europe.

BRITISH LEATHER
The second material is British Bridle Leather, well known by the heritage tanning methods and extraordinary durability.
Bridle leather has been dedicated to the British Royal Family for saddle products over the centuries. Concerning the safety of the riders or Royal Family Members, the exclusively vegetable tanned bridle leather is considered the most enduring and toughest leather on earth, with luxurious appearance and cultural heritage.
Over the centuries, each piece of bridle is hand finished with a secret formula of bee wax, fat and tallow, by experienced artisans in England. It also takes ancient underground tanning trenches that were built centuries ago and only have last few remaining in the world today.
These old tanneries run very limited production every year since it takes half-a-year long tanning process and huge amount of manpower to carry rawhides between trenches that contain different tannin concentrations.
The signature wax on leather can be turned into a shine by rubbing with a cloth or buffing with a brush. On the other hand, the wax would slowly be absorbed and get leather polished naturally after use, as a characteristic result of usage. Such wax is not only attractive to look at, but also functional enough to protect the leather from rain, as it is originally made for saddles to survive the unpredictable weather in England.
Bridle leather reinforces the portrayal of the inimitable spirit of British Gentleman. Its style stands the test of time with world-class quality. This is how bridle leather represents one's identity with such exquisite taste.
ARGENTINE LEATHER
Last but not least, we have the Argentine vegetable-tanned cowhide that demonstrates a raw and casual touch.
Each piece carries unique natural patterns and characteristics, and over time, it develops a richer patina. This is the result of a time-consuming vegetable tanning process.
